This is not what I expected my client shoots would look like. But, I also thought I wouldn’t be able to shoot at all during this pandemic. So honestly, these virtual sessions are a gift!

Michaelanne was the first person I was able to photograph via FaceTime. She gave me the chance to try this out with her, and we definitely learned a lot going through this together! There is a big learning curve photographing someone remotely, and she was so gracious and kind as we constantly readjusted the phone placement to get the best shot.

What was the virtual photo shoot experience like for you?

Working with Laura is always amazing. She makes me feel comfortable and is excellent in guiding poses. Every time we shoot together, she makes me feel so beautiful and confident. It was fun getting to collaborate in a new, fun, and experimental way.

What has self-isolation been like?

Self isolation hasn’t been easy for me because of my active lifestyle. Before isolation I had already been in the house for a couple of weeks because of shoulder surgery, so my isolation feels even more extended. Currently my days consist of doing online schoolwork with my son, garage workouts, and enjoying the sunshine.

What has been your favorite quarantine activity?

I’ve really enjoyed sitting outside on the deck reading Harry Potter with my son, Xander. It has been awesome seeing his excitement when reading the books; we are currently on the second book.

What playlist have you been turning to for comfort?

I’ve been listening to my Kelsea Ballerini playlist most days.

What are you most looking forward to once things get back to normal?

I’m looking forward to getting back into the gym and having some social interaction!

What lesson have you learned that you will carry through to the future?

I’ve learned to stop wasting energy on worrying about the unknown and having a positive mindset.
