You should, when possible, be seen in your brand photos so your clients can connect with you. However, it’s NOT required, and in some cases it may not even be possible for safety or privacy reasons. Here’s the thing: you don’t need to be the face of your business to have compelling brand photos! My session strategy always starts with your WORK and your CLIENTS, and then we gently work our way to capturing YOU. And YOU have agency to decide just how present your face is in your brand photos.

I know how vulnerable it is to be photographed, and I will do all I can to make you feel cared for! I will guide you through gestures and prompts to keep you moving and feeling at ease. We’ll play music, dance around, be silly, have snacks, and take breaks as needed! And I promise, the camera isn’t as scary once we get into the flow of things! Every client is different; trust that I will work to accommodate your needs and meet you where you are. 

Be prepared to spend at least 2 weeks working on your shoot prep! You will be responsible for completing a brand questionnaire for me, which will go through things like brand vibe, values, photo gaps and needs, aesthetic preferences, and more. From there, I’ll come up with our Creative Direction, which will guide our next steps. You’ll be an integral part of the planning process as we scout locations, gather props, decide on wardrobe, etc. This can be an intensive process, so don’t expect to zoom through it all in one sitting! But don’t fret! I’ll be there with you every step of the way. 

I always tailor my shooting strategy to suit my client’s vibe and energy! This includes my use of lighting, composition, and posing. However, my editing style remains consistent. You can see this in action throughout the images on this page. If you have a very distinctive visual aesthetic, please schedule a compatibility call with me so we can discuss our options! 

You must have a clear brand vibe and target audience for us to capture brand photos that will work for you. Do you know who you are trying to sell to? Do you know what sets you apart from others who do or sell the same thing as you? Are you clear on why you are in business? If you can’t answer those three questions, you may not be ready for a brand shoot just yet. A Brand Boost Mini Session (I offer these once a year!) may be a better fit for you at this stage. If you’re in the middle of a rebrand or developing your branding for the first time, I suggest that you complete that process before hiring me! Brand photography is only effective as your brand positioning, so tackle that first, then come to me to bring it to life!

At no additional cost, you can split your package into up to 4 payments and pay over time! 25% is required to save the date on my calendar, and the package must be paid in full by the day of the shoot.
