Aries, as the start of the astrological year, is all about beginnings. It’s a sign that is characterized by its bold, impulsive energy. Aries is ruled by Mars, the warrior, and the sign is known for its eagerness to do things.
Aries is a cardinal fire sign, which emphasizes that energy and brings it to the forefront. What can sometimes be seen as impulsive or rash is really just enthusiasm, bravery, and passion.
When conceptualizing the shoot, we really wanted to play around with the interplay between masculine/feminine. Being a mother, Carol also wanted a chance to reclaim her time and energy and focus it just on herself. It was the perfect way to celebrate and reclaim her strong and bold feminine energy.
We chose to shoot at a gorgeous rose garden to pull in spring vibes (despite shooting in early summer), and we played around with contrasting the soft feminine wardrobe and backdrop with more masculine posing.

I seriously loved this shoot! The location was a dream, and bringing in some more masculine power-poses in that stunning ruffled jumpsuit was a blast! It was such an honor to capture Aries in this way.
