Brand photography is all about standing out from the crowd, breaking through the noise, and showcasing what makes you different from your competition!

But that’s hard to do when you’re following the same advice as everyone else, pinning the same photos as everyone else, and falling into the same generic and forgettable brand photo trap as your competitors.

I’m excited to share with you 3 unexpected brand photos to capture at your next brand photo to help you stand out and make a lasting impact.

CUSTOM STOCK & TEXTURE PHOTOS

This is the type of image you normally turn to a stock photo library for, but what if you could capture an on-brand version at your next shoot?

Think aesthetic, minimal, simple, textured images that you can use as backgrounds in your content and on your website.

These are GREAT to have because they will be easily identifiable as yours (and yours alone).

Plus, they’re great to lean on in a pinch when you want an on-brand images as a background for an IG story!

CHARISMA HEADSHOT

Think of this as the cooler version of your traditional headshot.

This can be a shot of you dancing, laughing, doing a cartwheel, throwing up peace signs, or anything in between!

The goal is to capture an image that shows off your personality and sends a message.

These are great photos to have on hand when you are feeling a little playful, want to share a hot take or unique perspective, or want to share a bit off your non-CEO life!

Nothing wrong with a traditional headshot. Everyone should have one they love!

But for those moments you want to say more with your images, a personality headshot is the way to go!

CELEBRATION SUITE

I LOVE capturing celebration suites for my clients!

The key to nailing your celebration suite is to make it ultra-personal.

What do you do to celebrate wins? What does your audience know you enjoy? What type of celebration would resonate with your audience?

Maybe your Celebration shots could feature:

  • an ice cold beer
  • throwing confetti
  • balloons
  • dancing in your living room
  • a dozen sprinkle donuts
  • buying a new book at the bookstore
  • naps
  • your favorite junk food
  • dancing with a disco ball

ANYTHING that constitutes happiness for you and resonates with your brand and audience is a good fit!

These images are amazing for commemorating special client milestones, such as onboarding or final product delivery.

They’re just great for any moment you have something to celebrate! Here are few celebratory moments that call for a custom image:

  • When you book a new client
  • When a client has a win to celebrate
  • When you’re going on vacay
  • Bdays, wins, launches, good news, etc

The possibilities are endless!
